The 2017 Harfield Village Carnival is CANCELLED.

The annual Harfield Village Carnival is a great fundraiser for the Harfield Village Association and the Friends of Harfield Parks. However it takes a huge amount of time and planning to make sure that the event occurs without a glitch.

It is organised by Harfield Village Association members who are made up entirely of a voluntary group of local residents that for the most part have full time jobs and/or other commitments. It is with these pressures that they have made the call to not host the Carnival next year as they would not be happy with a part organised event.

They regret not being able to host the 2017 Carnival and instead will focus their efforts to ensuring that the 2018 Harfield Village Carnival is indeed a spectacular occasion.

In lieu of the Carnival Fundraiser the Friends of Harfield Parks are planning a Plant Sale Day in one of the parks. Watch this space for more info!!

Carnival Fun – What can you expect?
The carnival starts at 09h00 and runs till late. It is an annual event taking place on the last Saturday of March. A very festive atmosphere pervades the village. There are over 200 stalls where you can shop and enjoy tasty treats. There is something for everyone – from art, books, jewellery, home ware, proudly SA clothing, toys and gifts. There is live music throughout the day which creates a very festive mood. There is a kiddies designated play area as well as a crèche on Lancaster Street where your kids can be looked after. Lots of grub, with pubs and restaurants open all day. So spread the word – this is a great day out in the village!

Below, NORGARB PROPERTIES organised a raffle at the 2012 Carnival. Norgarb would like to thank Wynberg Girls’ Junior School Grade 6s together with their teacher, Miss Monique Lyddell, who helped sell tickets. The proceeds went to ANIMAL RESCUE ORGANISATION. Many thanks to the local business owners who donated generous prizes!
