Harfield Village New Website

We are excited that our community website www.harfield-village.co.za is under a revamp. We now have 200 businesses listed and the number is growing. Apart from news and events, the objective of the site is to promote local businesses, with the site acting like a mini ‘Google’ for the area.

A reminder that the annual Harfield Village Street Carnival will NOT be taking place on the last Saturday of November as in previous years. It is scheduled for 1 March 2014. The reason for the change is due to the unpredictability of the weather during November. To see loads of photographs, reviews and a video of previous years’ carnivals click here.

Norgarb Properties

From the Principal’s pen:
Buying a home in the southern suburbs can be a very frustrating experience. The reason for this is that with the limited stock on the market, demand is far exceeding supply, putting pressure on buyers to act extremely fast and put in good offers. Norgarb Properties recently listed a home which, attracted 36 buyers, multiple offers and a 50k more than asking price sale for the sellers.
Those who need to sell their homes first run the risk of losing out to buyers who either have cash funds available or who simply need a bond.
Should they decide to sell their home and not find another suitable one, they not only run the risk of having to go the rental route, which would mean moving twice, but also the risk of paying increased prices in the future, as property values are steadily rising.
So what do you do if you are in a ‘sell to buy’ position? Sell first and run the gauntlet? Offer ‘subject to’ and lose out time and again on the house of your dreams?
The good news is that there IS another way. There is a way to succeed in a seller’s market even if you have to sell to buy.
Give us a call for a strategy that can work for you. Norgarb Properties. Serious about real estate. Passionate about people. (Follow us on Facebook, click here.)
