With the days and months moving by at an alarming speed we will soon be in the midst of the annual Harfield Village Carnival. Stall positions are filling up fast, entertainment is being confirmed, all systems are a go at the Harfield Village Association offices.
Will you be attending the carnival this year? Take our poll (see below) and we will share the results in the next newsletter. It would be interesting to see how many patrons are from our hood and how many from further afield……
Do you ever wonder where the funds come from to organise the Carnival, what the HVA does with the funding and how it benefits the community in the long run? Well, click this link to find the answers. We look forward to seeing you at the Carnival, so remember to diarise the date of this not-to-be missed event.
For the past 9 years, Norgarb Properties has been the main sponsor for this event, they have again pledged R10 000 to the HVA as a sign of continued commitment to the community in and around the village.
Last year Lew Norgarb interviewed various members of the community to find out how the Carnival came to be, his research is extremely interesting and you can read more about it by clicking here.

At the Carnival again this year Norgarb Properties will be running their raffle with all proceeds going to Animal Rescue Organisation, they are looking for sponsors from the local businesses for prizes to giveaway through the raffle. In the past years they have raised a fair amount of funding for this wonderful organisation that does so much for the animals in the Cape Town area. They would also like to encourage as many people as possible to take part in the raffle as the funds raised do make a significant difference in the running of the ARO charity.
Raffle tickets can be bought on the day at the Norgarb stand situated at their office. Please don’t get confused with any other lucky draws that other organizations may run and remember that 100% of the funds raised from the Norgarb raffle go directly to the Animal Rescue Organisation who will also be selling items at their stand at the Norgarb office. Let’s brake records this year!!

Do you know the law governing changes to SECTIONAL TITLE DUET SCHEME?

A 'mini' sectional title scheme is then created, consisting of only two sections and these may be either separate dwellings or semi-detached. Read STBB's complete article by clicking here.
South Africans have watched as our economy has declined over the past few years specifically in the last 3 months when our currency fell and struggled to settle below the R16 to the dollar mark. With this we have also noticed an increase in contact and property-related crime as well as criminal movements.
