Dear Subscriber
If you missed out on the latest newsletters you can see them here.
We've had a little rain and a few signs of cold weather, but all in all it has been a rather mild start to Winter. We hope that you remain safe, warm and healthy.
This months newsletter highlights some of the events in and around the village as well as several new businesses. Our regular article contributors have been hard at work bringing you important information on health, your pets health, legal advice, safety and security and much more. We love hearing from you, so please email your feedback and comments to admin@harfield-village.co.za.
Have a great month!
Celebrate with Brad as he marks his 40th year in Harfield Village
Brad, was a resident of Harfield Village from way back in the early 1970’s, not as a restaurant owner but as a local homeowner. He quips that traffic officials, on one or two occasions could not send him traffic fines as 35 Durham Road is nestled between a park and a one-way road. “It’s quite difficult to find if you’re unfamiliar with the area,” giggles Brad. “The rent at his two bedroom home, was at the time, an unbelievable R70 per month,” says Brad.
Brad’s Grill opened in 1976 and traded as Zorba Steaks at the time. The restaurant was situated on the corner of Lansdowne and Belvedere Roads and in that year Brad entered a national competition for the best pepper steak in South Africa and won!
** Be sure to have a look at the specials section below to get a glimpse of the deals and spot prizes that will be on offer during the June festivities.

Good Luck!
This darling boy is ready for a forever home. He was run over and has spent the last few weeks recovering.
He is about 4 months old and will be a large dog. Despite his size, he is a very gentle calm soul and is extremely well-behaved.
He is completely house-trained, sleeps through the night and only chews his own toys!
Brownie is a dream house guest in his current foster home. He is great with other dogs, doesn’t mind cats and adores children.
He has a few wonky toes after his accident. He has been sterilised and vaccinated so he is ready to roll.
If you think he may be right for your family, please email tamsyn@animalrescue.org.za or call 0824117922.
