dotcoza design
3D Visualisation for architecture, product/packaging development and much much more. Nick at Dotcoza creates, texture and render models and scenes using industry standard software for a variety of applications.
WHAT THIS ALL MEANS:
Nick models, textures and renders just about anything. He has done work for Architects, property developers, advertising agencies, product development teams, coffee shops, packaging design companies and a host of private individuals who have wanted to see what something will look like before going to the expense of building it or developing it.
Every project is different but basically, Nick takes what ever information a client has about a product, concept or building and turns that into a 3D model to which he applies a realistic texture and then renders it out into a suitable environment.
So, for architectural visualization, he would usually get 2D CAD drawing from the client and then use those to make scale models of the buildings they require and render them out onto an image of the location where they are to be built.
For product and packaging visualization, he usually receive various packaging and labeling designs from the design house. He then models the product and packaging and applies the various designs. This enables the designers to see exactly what their design will look like, without going to the expense of getting prototypes/samples made.
For private individuals, he sometimes just receives sketches and takes it from there.
Have a look at his new website for a few examples of his work. This is a working process so keep checking back to see what he has been up to.
As far as cost goes, Nick quotes based on how long a project will take to complete. The process is not cheap however the value lies in how clients can save a lot of money by being able to make changes to designs before building or manufacturing takes place.
