My amazing home helpers, Yvette and Christina (whom a number of you have employed) have come up with a wonderful idea that will benefit us and those ladies facing unemployment on a daily basis.
They have called themselves the Harfield Home Helpers and essentially will provide domestic home help on a temporary basis. We saw that whilst there are often people looking for someone on a casual basis i.e. for a party or when your regular domestic is on leave etc.permanent employment is not.
They will provide a domestic or HHH as they prefer to be called for the day..
Their rates: are R200 per day from 8.30 to 3.30 pm (hours can be agreed with them i.e. 9-4pm)
Saturday is time and a half
Sunday is double time
The Ladies will provide their own uniform and transport
Lunch and a half hour lunch break must be provided
Profiles of the Ladies:
Christina (in the green uniform)
Married to Tommy with 2 little girls Riyeko and Vimbai. Christina is an ace cleaner and is also prepared to feed and walk your Non-vicious dogs. She lives very close to Harfield so it would not be a problem to pop in over the weekend and care for your pooch.
Her number is 074 374 9548 and her email address is
Yvette (in the blue uniform)
Married to Peter with 3 boys Bryden,Brendon and Bradley. Yvette is an ace ironer and super cleaner. She also loves cooking and baking and can follow recipes perfectly
Her no is 0785985970
Christina and Yvette will take 10% for admin and cellphone. This is not your problem
If you KNOW or preferably have employed someone (this is important as I value honesty and integrity as extremely important along with cleaning skills) then you can give their numbers to them and they can join the pool of HHH's. They will interview the people and go through a cleaning checklist with them.Work will be provided on a rotational basis so everyone gets a chance at earning money.
I hope this will be viewed as a community initiative.
