Alarm Systems

• Ensure your alarm system is fully functional by testing it at least once a month — a service we can provide.
• Testing should be done by first notifying your armed response company, then activating your panic button and all sensors.

• Wireless sensor batteries should ideally be replaced annually. Although they may last up to two years, this carries risk.
• Make sure your alarm monitoring company actively checks for low battery warnings and mains power failures.
• Criminals have been known to switch off street electricity meter boxes, then wait for the alarm status LED to go off before breaking in, indicating the system has lost power.

• Gates that run noisily, unevenly, or are difficult to push in manual mode may indicate failed wheel bearings or worn tracks.
• Gates that start and stop before fully opening or closing can cause premature motor gearbox failure.
• If your gate does not operate correctly during power outages, this usually indicates failing backup batteries.
• Gate and garage motors can be integrated into the same mobile app as your alarm system.

• It is essential that your CCTV system is recording correctly and allows remote viewing, so you can check your premises while away.
