Branch Manager explains his drive to “make a difference.”

He has lived in the southern suburbs for almost a decade and today he is a branch manager for armed response company Fidelity ADT.

Security Focus Africa sat down with Nic Ansell to get to know him better.

Where did you career in the security field first start?

“It started about 10 years ago when my family and I bought our first home in the Southern Suburbs. After 2 weeks of moving, we were broken into. After that incident I decided to join the local crime watch.

The Kirstenhof Crime Watch then only consisted of five members. I along with the other members went out nightly to keep families in our community safe. During the day I was busy with my day job as a plumber, and I spent 4-6 hours on patrol every night.”
