✅ Common issues include faulty sensors, wiring problems, or a flat main alarm box battery.
✅ Wireless alarm sensor batteries should be replaced yearly for safety. While they can last up to two years, waiting that long is risky.
✅ Ensure your alarm monitoring company checks for low battery and mains power status. Criminals have been known to switch off electricity at street boxes and wait for alarm LED indicators to go off before attempting a break-in.
✅ Arcing (loud cracking sounds) can be caused by deteriorated plastic bobbins (usually after 10 years).
✅ Vegetation and branches near the fence must be cleared to prevent short circuits and false alarms.
✅ Backup batteries should be checked regularly to ensure they are still functional.
