Alarm Systems

• Test your alarm monthly—we can assist with a full diagnostic test.
• Notify your armed response company before testing your panic button and sensors.
• Common issues include:
  • Faulty sensors
  • Damaged wiring
  • Flat main control panel battery
• Wireless sensor batteries should be replaced annually (maximum lifespan is two years, but waiting that long is risky).
• Ensure your monitoring company receives low battery and power fail notifications.
• Criminals have increasingly been switching off street meter boxes during holidays to disable household alarms—check your backup battery health.
• We offer an Alarm App for remote control, zone status checks, and instant activation notifications.

Electric Fence

• Test your electric fence monthly, with a full service every 6 months.
• The fence light should flash—ticking or arcing indicates a fault or short.
• Switch off the energiser to inspect wires for breaks.
• Clear vegetation within 0.5m of the fence.
• Test the backup battery by switching off mains power.
• Electric fencing can be linked to your alarm to give armed response extra reaction time.
• Integration with the same mobile app is available.

Gate & Garage Automation

• Noisy or difficult-to-move gates often indicate failed bearings or a worn track.
• A gate starting and stopping before fully opening/closing may cause premature gearbox failure.
• If your gate or garage motor performs poorly during load-shedding, the backup battery likely needs replacing.
• Gate and garage motors can also be integrated into your alarm app.

CCTV Systems

• Ensure your CCTV is recording correctly and that you have remote viewing access while away.
• We offer Verifier Off-Site Monitoring, where trained personnel notify your armed response company of verified intrusions.

Battery Health

• Backup batteries are critical—ensure ALL your security devices have functioning batteries.
• Long periods on battery power (during load-shedding or faults) reduce battery lifespan.
