PROPOSED PERMANENT FULL AND PARTIAL ROAD CLOSURES

PROPOSED PERMANENT FULL

Notice is hereby given in terms of section 4 of the City of Cape Town Immovable Property By-law 2015, that the City of Cape Town’s
Urban Mobility Directorate intends the permanent full or partial closure of certain roads to vehicular traffic in the Claremont area.

Residents are reminded that the City previously approved the concept design of trunk routes and station locations for Phase
2A, which will provide safe, quality, rapid and direct MyCiTi services linking Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain with Wynberg and
Claremont.

As part of the detailed design phase now underway, some roads are identified to be either fully or partially closed to vehicular
traffic to provide for stations, intersection improvements, upgrades to walking and cycling facilities, and dedicated public
transport lanes, and to improve safety for all road users.
