JULY’22 IN THE GARDEN

Hi Harfield,

There is snow on some of the peaks just outside Cape Town, and the nip in the air has turned into a bite! Just as we want to hibernate now, so do many of our plants. 

Here’s the plant list for July, in case you’re keen to plant. It’s shorter than the other months:

Broad Beans, Beetroot, Chard/Spinach, Cape Gooseberry, Celery, Chives, Chili Peppers, Lettuce, Onion, Parsley, Peas, Potato, Radish, Tomato

Remember that planting in the right months give plants the best chance at life. Take note of what’s in season in the shops too when you’re buying.
