LOSING A LEGEND, LEON NORGARB

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the recent passing of a local legend and Harfield Village resident – Leon Norgarb, age 96.
We, as a community, extend our deepest sympathy to the Norgarb family and to our local real-estate agent Lew Norgarb of Norgarb Properties.
Notice is hereby given in terms of section 4 of the City of Cape Town Immovable Property By-law 2015, that the City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate intends the permanent full or partial closure of certain roads to vehicular traffic in the Claremont area. Find out more here.
NORGARB PROPERTIES RICKSHAW STILL MISSING!!
You may recall the recent story regarding the theft of the Norgarb Properties Rickshaw. It was stolen at the worst time possible as it was due to be at the Halloween festivities, to bring joy to so many people in our community.
Thank you to all the community members who checked their CCTV camera footage, and for updates and sightings as and when they happened.
It was last spotted on the M5 freeway close to the Grassy Park area!
Please do keep reporting any sightings or information regarding the missing Rickshaw, one that we have all come to know and love having around our picturesque Village.
Its twin will however be ready and waiting for kids’ rides (and adults who think they are kids) at this year’s Carols in the Park event.
