SHOW HOUSE SAFETY TIPS FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS
Open house or show days play a vital role in selling properties. However, opening your home to potential buyers can also create opportunities for burglars to take advantage.
It is essential for both buyers and sellers to prioritise safety and security on these days. Fidelity ADT explains more, see it here.
STAY SUN SAFE
The first hot spring days are here, and while we’re all excited to soak up the sun, don’t forget: burning is where the real skin damage happens. Your skin needs time and protection to stay healthy.
Before you hit the beach or pool, make sure you’re covered. Alongside our awesome range of UV-protective swimwear, Oggi Swim & Gymwear also stocks the eco- and skin-friendly Ocean Freedom Sunscreens – including their fun and colourful clay range! Come by and get your sun protection sorted!
UNDERSTANDING INTEREST RATES
Interest rates influence everything from your home loan repayment to the pace of the entire economy. In South Africa, two key rates dominate the conversation: the repo rate and the prime lending rate. Read more here.
HOME SECURITY ADVICE
Living with high-crime in South Africa is stressful, but there are many practical steps you can take – some big, some small to significantly improve your home’s security. Keep Electronics share’s a detailed guide, see it here.

Is bird flu affecting the Southern Suburbs?
Many of us in Harfield Village enjoy feeding and watching the birds in our gardens. While bird flu is currently having its biggest impact on seabirds, there is a chance it could affect local birdlife too.
If you come across a sick or dead bird, please report it to the authorities and avoid handling it. Keeping birdbaths and feeders clean is also an important way to help protect our feathered visitors.
